I started this blog to give my readers and clients information and insight about the housing market on Chicago’s North Shore. One of the things I do regularly is to provide a look at the data for each of our towns: home sales, prices, inventory, months supply and market time. I’ll also give my perspective on what the data means for buyers and sellers.

But, along with the facts, I want to give a feel for life on the North Shore, because this is just as important for anyone considering moving here. That’s why you’ll see lots of photos of the area, as well as posts about events and things to do here.

Come Home North Shore

I am a member of Come Home North Shore, a team of three agents in Coldwell Banker’s Winnetka office: Daverille Sher, Paula Weiss and Anne West. We created the team because we determined that, in today’s challenging real estate market, the best way to offer superior service to our clients is to combine the diverse skills of multiple experienced agents.

Our unique approach

• We consider our relationship with our clients to be a partnership. We make your goals our goals and we work toward using all of the tools available to us to ensure a successful outcome.

• We believe that an educated and informed client makes the wisest decisions. Having the data is not enough. It requires someone to analyze it and put it into context, and that’s what we do. In fact,  one of our team members is a former financial adviser.

• Our marketing sets us apart and we leverage this on behalf of our seller clients. It’s no longer enough to put a listing on the MLS, stick a sign in the yard, hold an open house and hope for a buyer to come along. You have to aggressively market it, not only through traditional vehicles but also using the Internet, mobile marketing and social media. Given our team’s extensive consumer marketing experience, we know how to do that.
