Glenview Ice Center’s 13th Annual Winter Carnival

The Glenview Ice Center will host its 13th annual Winter Carnival over the two-week winter school break. Activities include daily family public skate sessions, a charity hockey game, hockey and figure skating lessons, winter holiday figure skating exhibition and much more. Special guest appearances will include “Skates” (the Chicago Wolves mascot), Ronald McDonald, The “Monsters” and the “minion”.

NEW this year! On December 30 from 6-9 p.m., stop by and join the family fun on and off the ice at the Holiday Family Luau. The fee is $8 per person. On January 5 from 11:30-12:30 p.m., the Glenview Library is hosting Olympic Day with story time and skating. The event is free!

Free Festive Family Film Fest

The Wilmette Theater presents its first ever Free Family Film Festival. Three holiday classics will be shown on the big screen at 5 p.m., starting with “Home Alone” on December 20, “It’s A Wonderful Life” on December 22 and “A Christmas Story” on December 23. Tickets are FREE and only available at the box office during regular hours. Limit 6 per household.

Do visions of sugar plums dance in your head during the holiday season? Starting the first weekend in December stop by Hubbard Woods Park and see it transformed into Candy Cane Lane.
